Motorhome Tray Table Issue

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone has some advise on which type of glue to use to fix the skirting border on a motorhome tray/table?

I have attached some images of the issue I am facing, previously used gorilla glue with no luck, Any advise greatly appreciated, thanks

The trim was originally held in place by a central tongue which knocks tightly into a central groove cut into the edge if the table top, once the chipwood/ ply fails and the trim comes out it's hard to get a decent fix especially when you'll doubtless be trying to re glue it back in place on top of old glue that didn't hold in the first place. Your best bet would be remove the whole table top, remove the trim completely and clean everything up really well and remove any loose bits of wood from the groove. It may be easier to buy a new piece of knock in trim rather than spend time cleaning it up. Re fix the trim with Sika ETB from Screwfix making sure you get plenty into the groove, hold the trim in place with regular strips of masking tape looped over the trim until the adhesive sets.
Ideally though the table needs to be reduced in size so that a fresh groove can be machined into the table edge and fresh trim fitted. The trim is matched to the thickness of your table top, typically 15mm but other sizes are available.
