Motorhome or Hotel?

Every year from December to March we jet off to Tunisia and stay in a 4star hotel but I was wondering and looking for some advise.
We use our motorhome most weeks for wilding and going to shows and the like, I was wondering what sort of cost would it incur to got to Spain or some where else for three or four months.Whilst I do not expect it to be as cheap as going to Tunisia in a hotel but what sort of costs am I looking at We would spend time wilding and Aries with some time on selected sites.
Any help would be most gratefully received.

Southern Spain is getting increasingly difficult to wildcamp but the weather is quite good around that time of the year. Campsites tend to reduce the rates the longer you are willing to stay. There are quite a few aires in the north of Spain & the people are very friendly. The weather can be a bit rough though. We like Portugal & it is easy to wildcamp in most places, the Algarve is very popular & last year we did hear of people getting fined for wildcamping in some areas. As an example we spent about two & a half months travelling & only spent about 5 nights on a campsite we knew of for 7€ a night.

As for costs our biggest outlay was diesel, after that the only other cost was food & drink. We use Tesco clubcard vouchers for the tunnel, worked out about £32.50 in Tesco vouchers for the return trip

Thank you for your reply my wife and I will have a good read of your story later. I thought that the most cost would be in Diesel but at least it's cheaper over there.
