Hi. Can anyone recommend an insurer that will cover me for full time occupancy in my motorhome?

Saga Motorhome insurance is pretty good if you are over 55.
You may still need a UK address though.
Use the address you vehicle is registered at.

unless things have changed when we fulltimed in our van ,i was insured by comfort i belive .i told them that we were living in the van and would be changing my adress to my daughters adress as that would be my contact adress where all my mail and logbook would be registered at ,allong with my licence .they wernt realy bothered and said ok ,no extra was charged to my premium .

There is only one company that does true Full timing insurance and that is AVIVA. However AVIVA do not do this direct, but through brokers. Comfort (Victor Millwell Insurance Agency Limited trading as Comfort Insurance.) is the main broker. Motorhome Insurance - Award Winning | Comfort Insurance

AIB and MHFacts are other brokers but it all goes through the Comfort Building. Full UK & Continental Breakdown Cover is Available, with no Limits on Height, Weight or Length through RAC Commercial. This is also not available direct through the RAC.

By true Full Time insurance I mean 24/7/365 without a UK residence. Vehicles and driver registered at a UK contact address. This insurance has no trip limits in UK or Europe.
Long term Touring and Full Timing
Use of your motor caravan for nine months or more (whether as a single trip or a series of trips) in any one
year will be treated (and rated) as long-term touring. If, in addition, you sell or let your UK property you will
be treated (and rated) as full-timing. Please refer to the policy conditions on Page 29 for more details.

Expect to pay double to three times the premium for normal holiday type cover.

Some companies say they do 365 days cover but in the small print you will find trip limits, need to be on the electoral roll, etc. All insurance issued in the UK has to offer 365 days minimum "Third Party Cover" throughout Europe under EU regulations, even if you are paying for comprehensive cover, which can have territorial limits imposed.

Thanks for your help folks.

Thanks for the advice folks. I found that Comfort wouldn't cover me as the van is 11 years old now. However I did eventually get cover from AdrianFlux insurance.
