just heard on radio this morning......that a crash between a motorhome and a lorry happened on the A64 york scarborough road.......24 august
o) whereby a mother and 2 children were fatalities......father and young son hospitalized....
....on discharge they arrived home ..to find their home had been burgled ....treasured possesions taken along with valuable elec...computors tele etc............
HOPE THEY FIND THE SCUM/S that did such a thing.......

Scum indeed Trixie.

Reading the report, it just makes you consider having a little more patience when sitting in a traffic jam;

I saw the news at the time Trixie....tragic....but didn't know about the burglary.....why, why, why?
We can only hope that we hear these stories because of instant news rather than a deterioration in humanity.

I must say that the standard of driving has went downhill since lockdown, saw 3 here last week, and was passed by a audi driver doing about 80mph in morning fog with no lights.
Tragic for the ones left and to be robbed, hope they get the lowlife who done it, it will take a long time for dad and little one left to get over it if ever.

thanks for that rob...........didnt know how the accident happened......this reading explains it........
i am at a lost to understand why the lorry driver would be parked up on the side of a very busy main road road from york to scarborough and the east coast........it doesnt say that he was in a layby etc.
its really upset me today......

amyway all take care when driving etc........my dear dad used to say........take care of your own driving and be more aware of other drivers/////////.

We where traveling down the A515 this morning in fog, the number of people driving without headlights was surprising. On older vehicles this means no lights at all, fortunately on newer vehicles this means they are driving with DRL's, but still no tail lights.

One thing i detest is folks driving with fog lights on at night or rain when there is no fog, then when fogs comes down they dont bother, no logic.

There is a layby quite near to the restaurant so I assume this is where it happened, I suppose the drive of the Motorhome lost concentration easily done.

thanks for that...............cant understand how the motorhome smashed into the back of it in a layby....unless the brakes failed......
Maybe drifted from the carriageway due to tiredness/lack of concentration/tyre failure ...

Same happens to stranded vehicles and emergency services/recovery vehicles on motorway hard shoulders all too frequently
Who knows....
Sad result whatever the cause.

....many years ago a family who lived not far from my parents...were returning home from a family wedding in durhamor darlington.............driving down A1 when the car crashed......only the mother survived...........
...it makes me weep.....how does anyone cope tradgedies like these

Brakes can only partial fail as their duel circuit, either front back or half front 4 piston calipers, and one back wheel each circuit, more like a blow out distraction or sleep.
