Could anybody recommend a firm near southport that will wash and polish our motorhome. We have always done it ourselves before but hubby had a heart attack in November and I hurt my back in January and am only just getting back to normal so daren’t risk doing it myself.

Have you tried some of the carwashing places? We use some local Polish to wash and polish ours some years ago. I think they charge about £40 but reckoned they had under quoted.

There is a member on here who does an absolute cracking job, not as cheap as the Polish/Iranian/Iraqi/Afghan guys but he is infinitely more careful and very thorough. I believe he travels too. Unfortunately I can't remember his name but someone will come along soon with it.

He was called Motorhomevalet Ral, but he isn't a member anymore, I only know one valeter but I don't know his area until I get home

He was called Mike, Home or email Mike@motorhomevalet.co.uk, but unfortunately he is not in your are

Ive got a brain tumour and my kids are forever getting at me about stressing my body out doing jobs, so they bought me a power washer, like a karcher, but this one is a bit more powerfull. All I do is put 50ml of foam liquid into my little bottle and top it up with warm water. The lance then delivers a foam that one bottle will easily cover the whole van in around 3 or 4 mins. I then leave it for 10 mins, take off the bottle and replace it with the power spray and wash it off taking care not to point it at window seams and decals and the van is as clean as a whistle. I then fill the bottle with bobby dazzler plus cold water and soft spray it over the whole van and it gives a bit if a shine. No real effort required and its amazing what the foam lifts.
