motor home service point

I totally agree. £7.00 to fill up with water? They are having a laugh! I could fill it up cheaper with Tesco own brand bottled water :lol-053:

Its not just dump and fill up for £7. They allow you to use all of the Camp site facilities such as showers and washing machines for I believe 3 hours.

A CL/CS would not cost much more for 24 hours.

Mix and Match

I totally agree, these 'clubs' are a business first and foremost but they must have a place somewhere in the scheme of things.

The access to the small sites is one of the upsides of these type of clubs and if that price for the three hour use of all the site facilities was more reasonable that would also be a plus. If you use the showers at the ferry terminals up in the Western Isles for example it'll cost you a quid apiece,so if you've got a family to cater for it begins to make a little more sense.

Having said that,we are off to a CS up near Greystoke in Cumbria for a couple of nights. No loos etc. but just a very nice place to chill out and only a few quid a night. Personally I dislike the big club sites with the serried ranks of little boxes and more rules than enough.

No work until 13th June !!!!

I would be prepared to pay £1 to £3 for this 3 hour service depending on facilities. Not £7 ... it's a complete joke. I can get a WHOLE 24 hours camping for £7 with water, disposal, and hook up. Get a grip on reality C and CC! They also have the cheek to say "Just £7" as though it is some kind of bargain :lol-053:

They are literally taking the p*** so much for the 'benefits of the club' seems only the managers benefit and then they have the audacity to 'use' volunteers to save money on site work under the guise of 'the Environment'and thats about the friendly club.

I don't think you will see us in there either !!!!

In France it is only 2 Euros (ok that does not include 3 hours use of facilities)

Sounds like another "rip off Britain" - the problem is that there are people out there that will pay £7 because they don't understand money - if nobody used the facility then maybe C & CC would revise the pricing.

I watched somone fork out £2 the other day to park in a car park when there was free unlimited parking on the road !! Amazing.

The problem here is now they have set a standard with the price, so if you pop onto any site just to empty the loo and top up with water they'll probably now charge the same, whereas before it would have been nothing or a couple of quid in the charity box.
