Motor Home meth lab's

It's not just motorhomes, it is housing too! In NZ when you buy a property you have to have a meth report also, in some areas there have been rows of social housing demolished because they have all been tainted. Not quite as bad as it reads but it isn't unheard of for 3-4 houses affected.
We met the brother of a respectable guy who was a lawyer and his lawyer wife, three kids, three homes, cars, boats, the whole shebang, the couple got involved in meth, eight years later they were homeless and destitute.
Meth is definitely not a drug to be dabbled with, more addictive than heroin or cocaine.

In the 70's and early 80's there was an epidemic of glue sniffing in NZ
(mainly teenagers). Not what you might expect in what was a
relatively wealthy, egalitarian society living in a spacious environment.
There's nowt stranger than folk, as they say up there somewhere.
 
Not sure I'd want to be driving around with all those volatile liquids sloshing around in test tubes.
The tourist bruchures don't show the reality of any country,NZ is no different to any other western country in that respect,it's only a low population that gives it the feel of having less crime.

Although relatively low, a population of c. 4 million is sufficient to give meaningful
'average' crime statistics. National murder statistics are usually very
accurately recorded in western societies, nearly all are reported so can be
relied on. The NZ murder rate is interesting when compared with old blightys, I seem to recall that in some years it actually compares unfavourably. Again I suspect
many people might not expect this to be the case, given the supposed
pertinent advantages NZ appears to possess over somewhere such as the UK.
As is often said you have to live in a place to get under its skin,
a 6 weeks jolly in a campervan just skims the touristy surface.
