mot fail

hi mot yesterday failed on lights . loked ok before but in garage when lights on blinkers flashing brakes on , sidelights flasning in oposition to blinkers (though it looked quite nifty ). any ideas anyone . :shag: stan

Sounds like either a bulb issue or more likely an earthing / connection problem to the rear light units. Start by checking all the bulbs are OK and then disconnect the electrical connector to each light cluster and check for any signs of corrosion or "greening" both on the connector and on the light unit itself. Clean the contacts on the light cluster with some abrasive paper and then WD40 or similar. Sometimes just dis-connecting and re-connecting the connector works but usually not for long - clean and lubricate better.

faulty earth causes this, like previous post clean away corrosion and a liberal spray of wd40 should fix it
