Morocco ferry

What is the cost of the ferry to morocco from algeciras to ceuta ot tanger med ? looking at a motorhome (hymer b544) and a bike trailer. Anyone been recently ? just need a general idea so I can budget for my trip. We hope to set off oct/nov for 5 or 6 months, so we are trying to work out our costs etc.....god i hate doing this stuff ! I`m a lets just go kind, but with no income (as i will pack in my job) I need to try and cover all bases. So any advice and comments would be welcome, also more general living costs in maroc etc. .....marty
 
hi.when i crossed in dec 10 i payed 176eu return. that was from juan carlos at los barrios he runs voyages normandie.its by lidl and careffoure. after the new year i called back to see his daughter i noticed the price had dropped to 130eu. it always does dropafter new year. that was for ferry to ceuta. have been using him for about 10yrs find him and his family very friendly and look after their customers. i,m sure you will find him. between gib and algecirose their usually is a campsite on the lidl carpark all using carlos. and filling up with lidl,s finest wine in cartons. you can sometimes get a discount if in groupsof ten .always worth asking. have agood time if you need more info do ask. .cheers alan
 
Morocco Ferry

We paid 180 euros for our ticket with Jaun Carlos on the 28th of December, we did the one hour trip over to Tangier Med, the new port was very easy to go through (no touts)
We had a Rough guide with us and found it very useful, especially telling us where the cheap restaurants were, we had a whole plate of grilled fish in Taroudant (where you can free camp) for 15 dirhams, Great!! we also had a bit of re spraying done on our Hymer and the exhaust welded :hammer: both very cheaply. bambi 2
 
Agree with the info about Juan Carlos - don't buy from websites or any other outlet because no-one can come anywhere near his prices. I don't know anyone who doesn't use him. Happy travels.
 
and we got a xmas card a chocolate cake and a flash wallet for the travel docs.
mind he does get a bit excited if he takes you to the port in a hurry. he his a law unto himself on the road and at the docks . every one is afraid of him. like his style. there is nice parking on the beach near his place as well. or just back towards gib by the big gas works loads of hard tarmac parking . like blackpool illuminations at night. can get a bit smelly of gas though. there is also a massive solar field there thousands of panels or even more .

What a good memory you have Alan, yes it is us, still living in France and travelling most winters. still got the old Hymer and love it. all the Best Bambi 2
