I've just realised that the satnav on my phone won't work over in France so it looks like I'll have to buy one which does. I don't want to pay a fortune out, as I don't use one often in this country, so it looks like a shopping trip tomorrow. I also need to put the rubber push on water connecter in as I have no idea what French connections are like.

in france carry a length of pipe with the same3/4 inch screw thread ashere, that fitted all the taps i came across but the watering cans good in case you can't get to the tap or you find a source, spring water

I use a usb gps mouse on my laptop with autoroute 2010,it turns the laptop into a giant satnav.I got it off ebay very quick delivery I think it was around £25 quid.Good luck on your travels keep us posted how you get on in france theres plenty of free wifi.

If you have an iphone you can download navfree france, not sure how good it is though

I've got a gps dongle, but not Autoroute.

I bought the two as package, but the disk was in my case when my laptop was stolen.

There is a douwe egberts app to make coffee :lol-053:

If your boy is up at Cadwell this weekend I hope it stays dry for them all.

Navigational problems sorted...I hope.

I've just found a free 60 day trial version of Autoroute 2011 on the Microsoft site and also found my Microsoft GPS mouse. As long as the trial version accepts GPS connection I should be OK.
