Hi, having the grandchildren living in Inverness we took the opportunity to see the lights. Very much a hit & miss affair, but worth it if it comes off.

Seen them from just east of Derry. Quite a lot further south.

Northern lights

I used to work at Lossiemouth and played rugby for Moray. One thurs night we were training and the lights appeared! Fabulous marvellous etc. It was a high pressure very cold still winters night. Hopefully you'll get those sort of conditions good luck and remember 'Harper' he was played by Burt Lancaster in 'Local Hero' and had a facination with the lights. Good luck lovely beaches on the Moray coast.
