hi when i hit the road i should have about £30,000 in the bank obviously i dont want to just live off this as it will soon drain away.ive heard about people fruit picking what sort of money do you get and arent there too many east europeans doing that for pennies.of course ill be carrying my tiling tools to pick up a bit of work.would be very interesting to hear what others think or how they finance themselves

You haven't told us Kevin whether you will be in the UK or further afield. I know of some Brits who do fruit picking every late September in Norfolk. They say it is very hard back breaking work and the money is lousey. But interestingly the farmer likes using UK labour.

I remember fruit picking in Ledbury years and years ago,you wont compete with the eastern europeans,they are bloody fast and some made 80 90 quid a day.You may ba able to make 40 on a good day,we were picking strawberries.
If i was you i would work 6 months and then take 6 months off personally speaking of course!!

i aim to be wintering in spain or italy hopefully but will have to work as well to finance all this as i dont want to just wate my money
 
A lot of unemployed people in Spain who don't get any benefits (because you only get benefits if you have paid into their system for many years)

Spain is still great if you are bringing all your living money with you, but its not a place to be looking for work right now.
