Well just got the motorhome ready, hope to escape for a couple of days from Monday afternoon. I imagine my arm will be tired after waving at all the other motorhomes hitting the road.
Not used the motorhome since our tour of Scotland in September/ October.
My wife feels she is up to it since having a hip replacement at the end of January.

Not sure whether to book somewhere near Appleby way, anyone got any recommendations within a 15 mile radius, ideally a nice pub that's does nice meals that also allow you to stay on there carpark overnight or a nice farm stopover.
Who else is planning to escape are where are you heading too

Try the rugby club at Kirby Lonsdale think they might have what your after and not too far from the town.

If the club bar is open it’s a great night and the drinks are cheap social Club prices. 👍
You are only allowed to serve drinks for consumption outside unfortunately and the forecast doesn't look great, bloody typical when we are allowed out to play. But it will be nice to chill away from home for a few days, going to take the bikes just incase the forecast is wrong, although the Mrs hasn't tried cycling since her opp, but she has an electric assist one.

We are off on our first trip of the year on Sunday: Pembrey Country Park for 4 nights then down to Newport (Pembrokeshire) for 7 more. First trip since December.

To say we are looking forward to it would be a massive understatement.

Great shout Wully, great place, they charge £20 a night if you don't need toilets and showers or electric hook-up. Think it goes up to £30.00 a night if you want them. You can also pay an extra £5.00 a night and they give you your own personal portaloo. The beer was good in the bar, quite a few locals come and I noticed they were drinking Guinness, so going to give that a try tonight They only have a beer garden and marquee available at the moment. Only a 10 minute walk into Kirby Lonsdale, very peaceful.

The wife's disappointed as Rugby training is on Thursday night, think she was hoping to see some burly men running around in there shorts.

Everyone is friendly and was telling us they get live acts on at the club on Saturday, once they are allowed to reopen. The views are great.
