After the last couple of trips out its become aparent that there is a clunk developing when selecting 4th gear.
Basicly I've phoned around in Nottingham and a recon (all syncromech and bearings changed) seems to be around £850 (including remove and refit) with a new clutch.
Apparently it's not an uncommon problem with the mk2 box, so I wondered if any members had
a) changed gearbox oil and solved the problem?? (would be nice!!)
b) Paid less and got a good job.
i'm in Notts, but will travel within reason, van drives fine if I double declutch.
