Missing POI's ToTom

Prior to our trip next week I decided to renew some of my POI's on my TT 930 GO, I use the POI's from sites such as Campingcarinfos, WEBSITE BLOCKED BY ADMIN, FurgoVW etc... & know for certain that I already had them on my TT. I was expecting to have to overwrite the existing files with the updated ones but find that nearly all except a couple of them just weren't there :confused:

I never usually delete any POI's or if I do I would back them up first, I thought this had happened before with missing POI's but thought maybe it was just me deleting them by mistake.

Hi Ed

Be aware that TomTom sat nav's have a limit on the number of POI categories they can display. I think it might be 50. But it's certainly less than 100.

If you exceed the maximum, although the OV2 and associated BMP files are still on the device, some of the categories are no longer capable of being selected/displayed on the sat nav.

I'd investigate this angle first.

Regards

Chris

I know about the limits that can be displayed but these are POI's gone missing when I look at the map folder where they are stored. The first time I assumed maybe I either hadn't put them on or I had deleted them but these are POI's that I know where there & they are ones I wouldn't have deleted but they are missing :confused: I have backed up all the current OV2 & BMP POI's I have on my TT.
