I'm thinking of getting a set of these for my Ducato Panel Van Conversion. Does anyone have or have had these? Are they good in snowy or icy conditions? How about summer use in the wet? What about the effect on fuel consumption? They are rated A for wet grip and C for fuel economy so they should be okay on the last two counts.

Any comments would be most welcome.

Read on another forum that they were good. If you have a Costco membership they have them and I think they a cash back deal on at the moment.

I had 4 new cross climate tyres fitted onto my Vauxhall Meriva shortly before I needed to take my 87 year old father to his speed awareness class.
He got caught speeding and opted to attend one of those speed awareness classes instead of getting points. he had already decided that he was not going to drive anymore, but wanted to finish his driving career without any points on his licence.
Anyway... back to the point in question. His class was held on a snowy winters day, and we set off after a bad snow storm in south Wales one morning.
We had to turn back several times during the journey, due to trees that had fallen over because of the weight of the snow on them (an indication of the amount of snow that had dropped).
The car drove without a problem over fresh snow on those country roads, and sometimes we had to drive round trees in the road, requiring me to drive off the road onto the grassy verges. We saw few other vehicles, mostly 4x4s, and at one point passed a wheel spinning Audi on an ice covered car park.
The Cross Climate tyres get my vote for the car, and if I could/can afford them, I would get them for the van.

Just for information, the speed awareness course was cancelled due to the instructor not able to attend because of the bad road conditions, and when my father eventually completed the course he said he found it very educational, although we did find out that he had a young lady sat either side of him in the class helping him with his notes :)

I have only just had them fitted to mine so cannot comment on their use in snow or icy conditions yet but I did a bit of research before buying them and couldn't find any negatives

I have them on one of my 4x4's, they are a very good all-round :) tyre, they replaced a set of Conti 'PremiumContact' which where awful in cold damp weather and slippery conditions. I have not noticed any downside in summer and they are in a different league in winter. I'm considering them for the van.

I went for the Pirelli all seasons because they have the same Wet and Fuel ratings but are less dB's.
Good in wet
Not seen a winter yet.
