In the early hours of this morning I travelled for over four hours with lengthy stretches above 4,000 feet in the Massif Central in France.

The temperature was around freezing, there was lying snow as well as snow covered and potentially icy road surfaces. Snow was falling and blowing across the road.

The Michelin Agilis Cross Climate van tyres, now around 5 years old and reaching the end of their life, performed impeccably. No loss of grip or traction.

I am most impressed!

Bought 2 this week, 7/8 mm tread no repairs, a tyre is nackered when you see the wire 😂

Good price, Trev, but Michelin Agilis Camping are not a patch on Michelin Agilis Cross climate, but, saying that, for how you use the van they are a good buy, if you regularly drive in snow, ice or even mud then Agilis Camping are useless, also they cannot be used in Europe during the Winter months, again, it doesn't affect you.

Michelin use the word "Agilis" to essentially mean VAN. so there are lots of different "Agilis" tyres and they are not really comparable to each other. It would be like saying Ford have a range of "cars" and so you can compare the different cars on the basis they are all the same :)

The Michelin Cross-Climate tyres (both Van and Car versions) have been my tyre type of choice since they virtually were released and I don't know if I would buy anything else now for a vehicle.

Even if just running in UK, I dunno about that :)
The kind of weather I get in Scotland and I reckon Trevor gets in Ulster, the Cross-Climates will be better than standard tyres for many months on the winter when the temperature is low while still working well in the warmer months.
I used to run regular (but Premium) tyres in Summer and then switch to dedicated Winter Tyres for the colder months, and when I changed to Cross-Climates I found they outperformed both tyres.

I used to run full winter tyres before Cross-Climates were released, never had a problem with hot weather or tyres wearing prematurely, like you though I was impressed with Cross-Climates, I wouldn't use any other tyre.
My point about being OK for Trev is due to him stating constantly that he only goes away for one night, so I assume if the weather was that bad he could have slicks on because it would still be on his drive🤣

100%, bad weather in at home, anyway folk here would stick elastic bands on rims if they thought they would do. 😂

The Cross Climates are a game changer in many respects, whether in the numerous car forms, or the Agilis forms. All of them are pretty much top tier.
However for those that want nothing but the best, there are the BFG Trail-Terrains or the BFG KO3's. :)
