Better treat this jewel of a place well or we are going to lose it.
Eat there if you stay there
Don’t think they mean it that way, think they would like to know so they can prepare food. Twenty eight motorhomes full turning up for food could be a lot of work. I may be wrong though 👍

I'm in a bit of a tricky situation Martin in that I cannot drink very well after I have eaten so generally don't bother. Julie can't go in pubs as background noise sets off her Meniere's disease which makes her feel really ill.

What I usually do is get a meal for Julie and take it out to the van for her, having cleared it with the pub first. I then pay my way by drinking as much as I can! I've never had a problem doing this and one landlord actually asked us to stay a couple more nights!

I love stopping at pubs and have made many friends doing so.

I have the opposite problem Rob, I often don’t want a big meal and I don’t drink now. Some places only do small pie and chips stuff and I usually leave most of the chips. I prefer if I can pay for staying rather than eating/drinking. If Caz is with me though she will have a drink and I can usually get coffee 👍

I love a pub stop and wouldn't dream of not doing my bit by drinking and eating my own bodyweight...

It doesn't make for a 'cheap' stopover (2 meals and drinks for the both of us is usually way above a night's camping fees)
BUT that's not why I do it....
I love an evening in the pub after usually having walked the dogs somewhere and it's great to not have to get a taxi home etc....

I think parking at a pub etc and NOT paying in someway agreeable to all parties is at best rude and at worst is frankly taking the pizz.
