Dear Friends,

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a fantastic 2009!
We appreciate your trust and support for our initiative.
Thanks to you, because all of you believe in the project “Espana Discovery”.
Thanks to you ... and only thanks to you, we will continue opening the way.

The Espana Discovery Team

Inspired by the concept of France Passion we have decided to create our own version of Discovering Spain by Motorhome.

The adventure started several months ago upon talking to vineyard owners from Fontanars del Alforins, a traditional wine making region in the province of Valencia. We were impressed by their disposition to welcome motorhome users from Spain and the rest of Europe to their vineyards. They wanted to open up their bodegas and vineyards to a new clientele. This was the decisive factor to start the project.

The first step has been to include the provinces of Valencia and Alicante but the plan is to gradually extend the idea to the rest of Spain. We have started with Valencia due to its proximity, and for the warm reception to the idea from the regions many wine makers. Without their generous help none of this would have been possible.

What our hosts expect from us, the motorhome user?
That the motorhome user is identified as a member of ESPAÑA DISCOVERY (to permit them to stay free of charge on the host’s property abiding by the Code of Conduct of ESPAÑA DISCOVERY).
That we wish to visit their farms or vineyards to learn more about their products.
That we show care and respect for the environment.

Now the project has started we hope you are keen to start discovering Spain by motorhome.

thank you for the greetings good luck and a merry xmass and a happy new year to you

This loook good, as a France Passion user it would be great to do the same in Spain. I may need to change the plans for next year (Burgundy in May/St Tropez in September) to include Spain.

Hola, Will these lovely vineyard owners welcome American Motor homes? Ours is 30ft and we tow a small car. Also are they easily accessable for a larger vehicle? Love the idea and would like to consider joining if it is going to be practical for us to do so. Happy Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Best wishes, Mary.

It's not the word, it's the assumption that everyone is just like you. I personally don't find it offensive when it comes from an individual, but I take exception to schools or stores plastering it all over their walls. It excludes certain segments of the society and implies that the Christians are the only people celebrating in December.
