Local MH Dealer has got one on show so we went in and had a good look round. To start with there is NO Microwave but according to the salesman they are only available in Uk MH's. Also noticed how much it moved around when walking through. I hope they have some form of air suspension. It's enough for the neighbours to think you are having a good time :shag:

The biggest problem was the front driver and passenger seats. They are about 200mm lower than the floor level in a sort of well. The drivers seat will not swivel round and the passenger seat is to low to sit at the table. Someone seems to have really cocked it up.

It's been reduced by several thousand ££ ..

Next we noticed the fridge. It had shrunk and had a small ice box in the top. Not that impressed. It did have a Uk style cooker with a hot plate. Also noticed how much it moved around when walking through. I hope they have some form of air suspension. It's enough for the neighbours to think you are having a good time :shag:

What model is it?

The pictures shows the drivers seat swivelled 60187.3.8.jpg

You will notice from the picture that the seat is lower than the side seats. From the angle it is taken it does not look much. When you sit in the seat it really shows how low it is. No way could you put your feet up on the side seat. The drivers seat does not go much further than shown. To get it that far you have to push it forward and backward while turning it.

Standard seats certainly have a height adjuster, not sure if Hymer change the seat.

Although not a hymer ours is on the Mercedes chassis and they do rock about but easily fixed by putting air assist on the rear, about £300 and 2 hours of your time to fit, makes a big difference, as already said the standard Mercedes seats can be raised and by quite a lot, even on a standard panel van if someone has the seats in the lowered position they feel too low

Ok .. So the cab floor rises when you are stationary or the seats go up. Next time we go for coffee will have a play. There will be a button somewhere that does it ..

Mercedes Chassis does not sit well with a big 5.3t body, sways considerably both driving and walking around the van.

Bring on the new Sprinter (just launched) which is available as a cowl only for the first time, so Hymer with almost certainly put an ALKO Chassis on it. I hoping they offer it on an Exsis and if so I’ll be in the que.

I thought the number in the title was miles, not ££££'s.

Buy it new, run it for 15 years (yeah right) and I work out that is still £500 a month depreciation.

But then again, it stops the kids spending their inheritance.

New Sprinter model is available either FWD or RWD according to GVW. 3tonne FWD, 3.2T to 4.1T, you can choose FWD or RWD. All models above 4.1T RWD.

We came very close to buying a 2016 one with 6,000 miles on the clock , the guy that had it paid 129,000 but sadly his wife became more disabled and they could no longer use it , dealers were trying to get it from him for 80,000 it sold to a dealer for 90,000 and they sold it in weeks for 98,000 .
40,000 depreciation in 18 months :cry::cry:

Better plan is buy it through a business claim back vat, use for 5 years, lose it as knackered so written off the business books , sell to wife or child for peanuts, then sell for 80,000 it then becomes cheap as all running expenses were business related and capital loss is offset against business profits. :hammer:

Yea but what about the microwave !?!?

Bloody hell are you an accountant? Nice one!

Hmmmm and when you get a VAT Inspection and they start asking questions ..

..

Update

The front seats are NOT ELECTRIC. SWMBO sat there for a long time winding the knob. Eventually it rose to a reasonable height. If you had to do that every time you stopped :scared:

If it is Lowdhams drop the price by another few thousand, It has been hanging around and they are have a job finding somebody to pay that much. They have it up for £124995. Drop that another £5000 and play hard to get, they will drop a bit to try and catch you so play really hard.. It will have a problem if Mercedes have a warranty problem as the chassis has a BIRTHDAY and it must be on the road within 18 months or they start dropping the warranty period from 2 years by every month over the 18 months, mine was made in december 2014 then spent a year at Bad whatever then went to Lowdhams where it was sitting for another 6 month before I came along waving money at them to drop it more. Got it at almost the price I offered. The dearer it is the more they will drop. If it is on offer in the press at £125000 then there is a lot more room to go. It might even have been paid for BEFORE the £ dropped against the Euro.
I would love that one with the 3 litre V6 and all the bits , mine was a demonstrator so it was cheaper from Hymer for them anyway.
Go on try it hardball..
That is unless I read your posting wrongly and it was secondhand that many miles from new.!!!!
