looking cosy ! what's the big flowerpot doing ? well it did look like one till i zoomed in ! is that a basin in the lid ?

If only I was that tidy thanks for the pictures hope you cutlery does not rattle on the move, I hate rattles others do not mind.

I think that's the toilet that your rendering to N Brown? It's a separating, compost loo to do away with chemicals. A small fan extracts any smells and helps keep everything dry.

Glad you all like it. I'm pretty happy with it, obviously there's things I would go back and change but nothing major.

Rattles you say antique man?! To be honest you wouldn't know over the din of the engine! Haha. Ear defenders optional in this one.

Nice that Ron,you should have a great time in that, are you going to give it a trial run ,say a long weekend ,before you go on your 2month trip

Thanks everyone. Deadsfo, it's in almost daily use and we've spent a week in it back in October without heating or cooking etc. and we loved it, so as long as it behaves mechanically we should be ok! It's had a new stainless exhaust this morning and I'm going to service it tomorrow. Noticed the bushes on the gear linkages aren't great too, so I'll do that. It's just a matter of keeping on top of things. Might be worth you checking the linkage on yours too, I lost third in wales! They're 50p each from Merc and it's an easy, if fiddly, fix. I stupidly only did the one, so I've got to do,the rest now!

Yes gotta agree about the ear defenders we have a 308d t1 602 1991 mercedes campervan and its very hard to chat to the mrs when on the move.I love the job you have done with your van btw.Did you convert it from a basic van or have you improved on original conversion?.I think you will find it will be reliable in use.In june recently we did a 1250mile round trip to Scotland and our Bertie didnt miss a beat.Strange thing as well we were getting 28.5 to gallon on average going at 58mph approx. But when we went on Isle of Mull it was a lot of pulling over in the overtake bays, changing gear constantly and lucky to get past 40mph but incredibly our Bertie averaged 33 to gallon so after Mull I kept the speed down and again avaraged over 32 to gallon. With its mileage of 177000 im well impressed

enjoy your merc like we do all the best Mike and Elaine...;)

Good MPG figures for a van of that size, it shows that keeping your right foot light pays off, my 2.8JTD has similar figures with an A Class van
