I fancy spending a few nights on the croft camping area at Melon Udrigle.
The weather up here seems to have taken a turn for the worst and is raining. I recall some members have used the place in the last couple of years, what’s the ground like ? Sandy ? grass ? Don’t fancy getting bogged down if it’s wet underfoot.

Very firm and mostly sand from memory of our visit.... Fantastic beach and rock pools with loverly variety of coloured sands.

Manny thanks, great photos.
Bugger the weather, I’m going to visit the site or I’ll only regret not visiting when I get home.

It’s a great place Bill and I found that a few years back it was autumn when we stayed and the ground was fine though we were in a smaller van the but well worth a look great beach.

Hi,

Just back from a few days there - fabulous weather always helps - but the site is perfect, good pitches for campers, tents etc. Brilliant for launching boats, swimming, walking etc.

Angela and Ian (owners) really nice folk

Been going there for years - some folk for nearly 50 years - cant be bad - price recently gone up to £10 per night, now provide toilet waste disposal and fresh water.

Possibly the most beautiful site on the planet

Wonderful pictures

Thanks chap....
Though I can't take the credit for the wonderful scenery up there...
I think if the weather had been better we might have spent the whole of our second week there as it is such a loverly beach.

Well I have to agree about the site, top of my Scotland list and visiting again in 3 weeks.
As a bonus the weather during the 4 days I was there last week was splendid.

It looks a lovely place and I'll probably visit next month if it's easy to launch a boat. Mriceman's photos are great as well, but do we really need to see them in 3 different posts on one page?

It is certainly a good idea to edit out photo's when replying with quote.

Good as the photo's are, they probably have an effect on a user's bandwidth when viewing the site.

A couple of years ago when you and Chris were posting photos of your van build I was in hospital, because almost every quote still included your photos I couldn't see any posts because of my internet speed, unless a specific photo is relevant there is no need to include them, it only takes seconds to edit the quote to remove them
