She's 41 years old (tax free) :)

We love wild-camping in her.

You can apply to stop paying vehicle tax if your vehicle was built or first registered before 8 January 1977.

I thought it was only cars/bike built before 1960 were exempt, tell me more.

Now 40 years. Rolls forward a year in April (provided the chancellor approves it in the budget). Currently those vehicles registered before 8th January 1977 can be reclassified as Historic Vehicle. This taxation class has zero excise duty.

I just went to my local post office with the V5 and the tax reminder, I took the MOT but they didn't look at it as they can check online now.

What old vehicle do you have?

We started motor caravanning in a VW splitty moved on to the Bay window vans had 4 of them plus 2 panel vans for work, went up Hard Knott pass twice and Wrynose pass before moving on to Auto Sleepers, the sound of the air cooled engine still brings back happy memories sometimes I wonder how we managed without adequate heating the heat exchanges left a lot to be desired.
