Maybe we need to fit sprinklers to our solar for summer along with tilting for winter ....

Best input we have had has been in the Scottish isles not the southern Mediterranean in cooler but sunny weather so maybe there is some truth in it but then there would be different angles of sun.

That has been known about for some time when pointing panels directly towards the Sun. The tiny air gap on most motorhome roofs does not help much in a cooling effect but it is true that the hotter the panel gets the lower the efficiency buut not by a large amount.
I have had really good results on a tilted panel in February on one of those rare crisp, clear blue sky days.

It is true, when they are hotter they are less efficient, but think it through they are hotter in summer than spring and therefore are less efficient in Summer.
But the suns out longer in Summer and therefore although less efficient at mid day they are harvesting for longer each day, and therefore produce more energy each day.

Since on the MH (the same as the house in my case) that energy is charging a battery and running the van as long as it runs the van in the day and fully charges the battery by the end of the day it’s wholly unemportant.
