What ever you do with your tomtom and i cant stress this enough always make a full backup and make sure that you select show hidden files in your folder options before you back up.
I for one do not trust tomtom home:(so when i backup with tomtom home i then make my own backup aswell.:)

yes i am also suspect of tomtom home it seems unstable,
shame as the sat nav seems ok unless you drop it and to reset it
it sometimes seems to revert to factory settings loosing all the info you have mateicously stored in it

I have more than likely posted this link before so in case you missed it look this link http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/?s=bookmark you will find it very helpfull for nearly all sat nav questions and some free downloads, you only have to pay if you suscribe to the safety camera updates and then you get 12 updates a year not like tomtom's 1 or 2 a year and a lot more exspensive.
Pocket gps world has the most up to date speed camera's database and its good value for about £19 .99 a year.
