Matlock fireworks

Anyone fancy the venetian nights in Matlock next weekend (sat 13). The boats that parade are for the children but the fireworks are fantastic. It does get very busy, but anyone fancies meeting up for a pint on sunday lunch let us know.

hi the display is brill we saw them last year we are going that way on for a few days we may stay for the display if storm is up to it anyway if you do go we may see you you wont miss the van my name mandrake is on the front and thanks for you comments about our stormy

Mandrake, your very welcome. Please keep us informed of Storms progress. And we shall definately look out for you (I mean your mh) next weekend.

We were going to try and stay in the main carpark on the bend, behind the pub. But in previous years this carpark had 'full' with a police 'guard' moving people on. So we have chickened out this time and booked alittle site, we will possibly wild when its alittle quieter, perhaps.

hi just to let you know we went to matlock i think the display is on the 13th oct we stayed on the rail station car park but we had to come home early due to storm getting worse thanks if you do go the lights are still on and good for a walk round

Thats right we are going up next sat (13th), glad you made it for a few days. Is storm happier,now your back home?
 
cheers i think he is doubt wether we will be there so soon after but if you dont manage to get on matlock bath car park try cromford by the side of the canal its only a short bus ride away or if you like a walk it takes about 20 mins enjoy your weekend its brill and thanks for your kind words

Thanks for the tips,we have booked a site now, but we are going to have a look at the places you've mentioned for a little later in the year, when its a fair bit quieter!

Was at matlock at the weekend spent friday night on the station carpark at matlock bath no one there but a few boy racers kept popping into the the lower car park .Saturday night we were going to stop with another camper who allways seems to be at the matlock station were sainsburys is now he was there in feb and was there all wekend (white and blue merc)but boy racers turned up there driving like nutters so went to the station car park at matlock bath 3campers there but was full so spent the night by the cromford canal all ok.Hi to anyone if it was you in the mclouis sunday morning on the station car park we pulled in to see if you had all stopped the night. Kids loved the illuminations might go back for the fireworks :)

matlock station not the same now but matlock bath still ok as is cromford if you cary on towards critch on the same road there is a parking area on the right about 2 miles further on it looks ok but a bit quiet prob for some but to park for a few hours it is great you can se the pumping station for the cromford canal also it is a great walk down the side of the canal
