Marine Parade Dover

Hi - not quite wild camping.... But is marine parade in Dover still OK for an overnight stop before an early ferry? Also, are there toilets there - we don't have one as our van is small and if you're out in the sticks it's not a big issue, but being in the town we don't want to be weeing in the street?

One of our regular stopovers. Was fine last time we were there earlier in the year. Don't recall any public toilets though.

YES. You can park free of charge from 18:00 hrs in the evening to 09:00hrs next morning on any given day. Safe parking Cops drive by every 1/2 hour to an hour. I always stop there if I get an early morning boat, or, when I return late in the evening, I park up for the night. And the view is a bonus. There are toilets at the very end of the road where the round a bout is. Better still is to drive the short distance into the ferry Offices where they have all the facilities.

There are toilets at the ferry end of Marine Parade.. you can see the block if you look on google maps

Hi,

Last August when we parked up there, the toilet block was locked up in the evening, can't remember exactly what time, but they weren't open all night.

Hi Gary and Sue

as stated above there are toilets at the Eastern End (ferry end) of Marine Parade and also if you come into the docks, keep to the right hand lane and proceed to the Travel Centre car park - it is just 100 metres from the roundabout. There is 15 minutes free parking there - plenty of time to whip into the Travel Centre and use the facilities - just inside the main entrance door. From the car park you can exit the docks again - and then park back up on the Marine Parade.

If I get a chance in the morning I will check out the Public Toilets that are at the west end of Marine Parade - as said they have been closed a little while.

During the day you can go into the De Bradelei Shopping Centre - just 3 mnitues walk from Marine Parade.
