Macerator

Just bought one of these portable type macerators for disposing of the black & grey waste from my RV.
What a brilliant bit of kit, and very cheap.

Worked out to £144 including P&P plus £29 UK duty/Tax total price £173

Never dealt with this chap in the USA before but he was very helpful and posted it the same day.
Bought it on the 23rd November. It cleared US customs, flown to UK, cleared UK customs and was at my local Parcel Force depot by 2nd Dec. Nearly 5000 miles and a few stops in 9 days.
Then it all went wrong. My local depot forgot to deliver, then lost it and then it finally arrived today. 9 dasys to travel the last 7 miles.
Is it any wonder I can't wait to leave the UK and travel.

I assume the macerator will chop all the lumps of poo into a fine liquid and make it easier to dispose of?

Unlike a couple in France this year who pulled over the concrete slab with a small drain in the middle (mainly used for grey water, the toilet disposal being at the "borne") and dumped a large amount of solid poo, paper etc all over the concrete. They then drove off and left it all lying there. I swilled it off for them because they were British and I was ashamed for them.

Yes that is exactly what they do and they give you the ability to pump it over quite a distance so you can dispose of it in the correct dump areas.

Were you ashamed for them or of them. It is bad enough that some people treat their own country like a sewer, but to go abroad and do it is frankly disgusting.
