M6 junctions 32 - 33 closed in both directions after a serious accident M6 closed in Lancashire as lorry crashes into bridge - BBC News

I went to Bamber Bridge this morning and it took nearly 2 hours to get back home, it normally only takes 10 - 15 minutes. The whole area was gridlocked :scared:

It could possibly be closed for several days.

A6 and A65 are going to be a barrel of laughs as well :scared:

Just tried going to Blackpool from Penwortham, Preston :scared:

Left Penwortham at 17.30pm and by 19.00 had only got to the far end ( Makro ) of the docks. the traffic was bumper to bumper as far as the eye could see towards Blackpool :scared:

The wife kept saying .......... it`ll probably be clear round the next corner ......... it wasn`t ............. we`ll just try a bit further ........... it wasn`t.

Luckily my father in law has given up driving and now walks to Booths in Penwortham from his house in Cop Lane, 5 minutes max. Last time when the M6 was closed after he had driven to Booths it took him over 2 hours to drive home again!!

Penwortham Bypass, Millbrook Way, Cop lane, Pope Lane. Marshalls Brow, Lindle Lane, Leyland Road every flaming one of them was blocked solid at the height of it yesterday.

We`ll see what happens today, thankfully we don`t need to go anywhere.
