Lytham St Annes / Salters Wharf / RNLI Lifeboat Station ...

Hi All ...

... and can I ask if anyone on here has ever over-nighted on the Car Park at the back of the Toby Carvery next to the Lifeboat Station? The Memsahib and I stopped there today (Sunday), for a couple of 'brews' - ostensibly to avoid having the 'Dub' demolished by about 3 million Kamikaze cyclists on the Manchester to Blackpool Charity Cycle Ride - and, to my amazement, couldn't find any 'No Overnighting' prohibitions on the Rules and Regs next to the Pay and Display Machine.

Any info gratefully received ...

Stayed in St Annes a few times, you can stop on the car parks as long as your either gone or paid for a ticket by the time required !
I will say though that they can get a bit noisey with kids in cars although they don't bother you but we would stay on the main rd next time as its less intimidating.
You can park for free on main rd for something like 18 hrs

Think where you mean is close to the public toilets as well but rather close to town as well

Hey Vdub you might find this link useful

I have just discovered that it is officially known as St Annes Swimming Pool Car Park and, if you follow the link posted by kimbowbill, it is listed as being one of five proposed MH development sites. I think that this calls for a glass of 'chilled' !!

Hmmmm.... Now what is the relationship between the Sun and that Yardarm ... ??

There is a C&CC THS later this month at Lytham and we really fancied it. The only problem would be somewhere to give the dogs a run. It seems nowadays that all beaches are off limits to dogs during the summer.

WOW! What an imaginative way of making Essex beaches Men-Only!!:lol-049:

Oh! Sorry Maingate - You mean the FOUR-legged variety?

I couldn't possibly comment on that one due to the fact that our already limited spatial luxury doesn't stretch to the inclusion of any animal (other than the occasional day trip with the Son-in-Law). I suppose that, at a pinch, we could always strap it to the roof-rack although that might have serious repurcussions on the overall mpg figures ... hmmmm .... Does anyone know the drag coefficient of an overweight Labrador ??????
