Had to go over to Balckpool this morning so seeing as it glorious weather up here we went the scenic way through Lytham etc. etc. etc.

First it was a constant stream ( 20 we think, should`ve counted properly ) of motorhomes of all shapes and sizes coming away from the area through Warton and Freckleton Bypass going towards Preston

From Fairhaven, South Promenade, Lytham St. Annes to the other end at North Promenade we counted 48 parked on the road and had clearly spent the night there.

There was also a C&CC rally on at the AKS Lytham Independant School with what look like approx 100 units on it.

7 motorhomes were parked on the aire at the Swimming Pool, 5 were also parked in the small official ( it`s signed ) Coastguard North Beach car park off Clfton Drive North.

9 parked on the promenade at Blackpool and will probably be getting ticketed and 5 at Gynn Square.

Blackpool has avery large and mostly used area at the end of Yeadon Way which is all car parking and could very easily have an aire set up on it, the services / utilities are already there so a simple set up with water / grey / black disposal along with recycling and waste facilities could be made.

A small reasonable charge and and bus stop outside the aire would do a roaring trade and boost the economy for the busnesses there as well.

But then again, pigs might fly because all the highly respected and trustworthy councillors seem to have their fingers in the campsites that charge exorbitant prices for being at the seaside.

We had the grandchildren with us when we went there , £5 per 24hrs at Fleetwood ( official ) just down from the tram terminal.
Free waste disposal south of Blackpool...
Dont think we will go again...not my kind of beach.....

Grandson loves the beach at Lytham St. Annes so even though it`s only 20 minutes-ish from home when we go with him we always take the motorhome.

Park on the aire at the swimming pool and then everything is at hand, food, drink and the loo then we don`t have to use the disgusting public ones

I also strongly recommend that you DO NOT use public conveniences in or around the Blackpool area because of the activities that go on there o_O
