Some of you may be unaware that the cost has recently gone up from £7 per night to £10.

Also there seems to be new Wardens to meet and greet who are friendly and welcoming. We will be there in a few days, it was some friends of ours who gave us this news.

The price had been about £7 for the past 4 or 5 years while Arthur was warden. A favourite place of ours for the past 12 years.

£10 still cheap and a nice place too. I was asked £32 for a site last week not as good as linden wild camped a mile up the road for free. I hope they use the extra dosh to put in some better facilities maybe a proper waste dump and a few more water points.

Yes, for that amount it needs more facilities.

Last weekend I stayed on a C&CC site with motorhome service point, loos, showers, washing machine, etc etc for £6.25 a night.

We have just spent three nights there, Maddy is now the Manager but there is a new groundsman and his wife so there is an extra wage to pay

I just don't get this sort of thinking ...

Personally it's all about location,
yes it might NOT have hot and cold running everything BUT the location and amount of space is worth every penny of whatever they decide to charge ...
£10 is hardly a fortune for what you get AND no one is forced to stay there .

The price is the price ...don't like the price ...just find somewhere you do ...simples .

Yes, we like it very much too. I believe they are going to spend money for improvements. A bonus for me is getting free wifi from a Hotel on the opposite side of the Lake with my long range wifi aerial.

It's horses for courses and people have different views. We are currently on a small private Site for £12 with 16 amp hookup and free wifi. This is only because of the weather (solar is no good in the rain). My only consolation for being on a Site is that it is empty apart from one Caravan but I parked up so that I cannot see it. :lol-061:

Unfortunately the price is a consideration for some. The more spent on site fees, the less to spend on diesel....simples.
