Hi, glad to hear you came out of it ok. Wishing you a speedy recovery and all the best for christmas and the new year. :)

Did they breathylise the other driver?
This is the time of the year when all the idiots are out on the road. The other morning in the space of 2 miles 3 vehicles nearly caused accidents with me and some where quite upset when I tooted them when they were crossing over to my lane. The other one was overtaking when I was over taking!!
When I stopped I had to look at he front of my vehicle to see if the 'hit me' sign was still there!!

Having had a new car written off by someone pulling out off a side road I am seriously considering one of those video cameras that record and retain it if there is an accident. The only problem is it wouldn't have been of much use in the accident I mention as that was a side swipe.

Glad to hear you are OK, now comes all the insurance paperwork etc.

I won my case and they bought a brand new car for me!

Glad your not hurt, it makes you want to get an old banger from the auctions, make sure its all legal, then stop avoiding the dickheads and let them hit you.
Cheers, Pete

Hi frostybow,
glad you made it ok, some right bloody numptys on the road these days, probably one of our illegal friends that can't read the signs. Did he stop?
Probably get his hand smacked.
Take care, have a good Christmas.

Happy Camping:)

At least you are not the NOTTINGHAM Taxi driver who was clipped by white van man which resulted in the taxi then hitting a 19 year old female student causing her to have a leg removed the Police have still not got w v m as he did not stop. When we send our kids off to Uni we hope it will be life changing for this poor gal it certainly will be.Stay safe, healthy and happy.

I came across this today, death statistics on britains roads over the last 10 years.

Interesting to remember the data doesnt include serious accidents mentioned earlier in the thread.

BBC News - Interactive map: A decade of road deaths

and yer point is.... :confused::confused::confused:

" with so many moving objects in so confined a space
it is miraculous that the incidence of mortality is so low.
This is testament singularly to the skill of the human being"

cancer deaths are 60 times more than this pa
have a guess which receives the most public funding

I am not quite sure why you think I have an agenda (your point is? )

The point is , people may find it interesting ?... the statistics on their own doorstep.

Perhaps something people can explore and reach their own conclusions.

They might even ask the question as to what are contributory factors.

Deaths on the road are preventable, the lottery of cancer is not quite so forgiving.

One is 100 percent avoidable the latter isnt.

I thought all taxis had to be wheelchair accessible?? You could always stick the gun barrel through the spokes I suppose!!!

I don't claim to be a perfect driver, ( bloody madman me wife says!! ), but some of the things I see on the roads makes you wonder if they've ever passed a driving test.

Rather than quip and use emoticions (amusing as it sometimes is), Why dont you for a change justify your wisdom for the benefit of the rest of us?

I am sure I am not the only one that likes facts and figures.

So ditch the post whoring, pray explain
