LPG Question

Hi all just a quick question i am thinking of buying a camper fitted with LPG so it run on lpg and petrol
and want to know if i would be able to go abroad in it also how do you go on with your normal gas bottles

can you travel on ferry or tunnel with full gas tank

yes just buy a adapter for you r gas refill point and with cylinders i should think if you carry a full one it should be enough but someone wil be along to tell you the way to do it
 
We fitted a LPG tank under the van last year to use instead of gas. Went to France, no problems, no one even asked about it
 
You won't be able to use the Channel Tunnel but ferries will be no problem - neither will finding lpg on the continent (although there are relatively few outlets in Spain). Happy travels.
 
I don't thing LPG cars are allowed on tunnel at the moment.

No LPG powered vehicles throught the tunnel, that's correct.

I asked eurotunnel why that is, because you are fine to cross over with your LPG for cooking/heating.
turns out that they haven't carried out a risk assement for LPG powered cars to save some insurance costs.
They deem the number of cars with LPG using the tunnel not worth the expense at the moment.
I bought a diesel car in the end because my wife gets sea sick very easy and loves the tunnel.
