Hi folks
I'm sure iv'e seen on here a guide to LPG locations abroad but can't find it!
Am I going mad?

I use fuelflash.eu and find it to be pretty reliable. Also look at the total website. They seem to be one of the biggest organisations selling LPG in France.

Petrol Prices in Vannes

I was looking to fill on my way home as I approached Cherbourg but had issues in that one total station and an Auchan station were unmanned on a Sunday so there was no way of activating the pump on a prepay basis.

Very few, if any will allow GPL filling in an unmanned service station or when the payment kiosk is closed.
 
I have filled GPL in France using pumps that take card payment.

I don't know how widespread they are ...
 
The new Carrefour at Angoulins is prepay with card. It is part of a fuel dispensing unit ie, the prepay is done on the fuel unit but the lpg pump sits alongside but separate if that makes sense.
I have to say that 3 of the 4 occasions I have filled (or tried) in France the pump is switched on and paid for at a kiosk/shop.

another vote for the fuelflash.eu website it’s live so not an app but first class at finding both lpg & diesel both nearest or cheapest , i particularly like being able to search ahead in the direction of travel and use the navigation element
 
I use the 'FillLPG' android app, it seems to be relatively up to date and is easy to use.
 
just a point, there are certainly less LPG outlets this year. No issues on the Peages but they have gone form some of the city and town fuel stations, and pesky height barriers have appeared on supermarket petrol entrances. I would advise filling more frequently.
