We are on a 6 week tour of Scandinavia and optimistically set out with one full 6kg gas cylinder. We've wilcamped about 2 nights out of 3and been pretty sparing but have used gas for cooking, and copious cups of tea, and a the fridge and hot water. We ran out 2 days ago. I'd seen you can get Calor refills in Norway but have also found there is a network of Swedish refill points in the South of the country. If you need a refill try:
Gas & Industripartner Sverige AB
Gasol & Gas Karlskoga – Gasolfyllning
A 6kg refill into my own Calor gas bottle cost just under £18, which I reckon is cheaper than a UK exchange. All done very quickly and easily.

For the life of me I cannot understand why you would , effectively, hope your gas would last for that long.
That would worry me if I was preparing for a trip like that.
Met two women in Dijon heading to Switzerland to do some skiing and they were two weeks into a eight week trip and had already used one bottle out of their two.
Lesson learned.

Unfortunately our Tracker only has locker space for one cylinder and I didn't fancy having a full replacement rolling around under the bed! We got just short of 5 weeks out of the cylinder and have filled it now so we're good for our return through Denmark and Germany
