It was reported by a member in the The Complete Guide to France - Travel, Living in France & Expat - Lost-in-France.com newsletter which we received today that the Creuse is experiencing it's coldest weather in May since records began in 1946. From 30 degrees a couple of weeks ago apparently down to 1.7degrees resulting in snow.:( (Read full story and others by logging on.)
Makes you wonder whats in store this summer.

If not done so already Lost in France is a website worth checking out. Could help with any questions you may have when planning a short or long term trip to France. Holds lots of info on all the diferent regions.:)
Here's hoping to a return to some good weather soon.

don't understand that ...france has national weather records back to 1888 to my knowledge , perhaps earlier

maybe the coldest since 1948 ? sounds more likely

and yes , after a delightful april we are paying in may , another week of lousy weather at least according to the forecast

you didn't really think france has better weather than the uk , did you ?

in my local region they recorded a minimum in may of -8.6 in 1902 , and maximum of 35.2 C in 2001 , not in the same weather station I hasten to add !
