I loved The Sweeney, Minder and New Tricks.

I met him once and he seemed a very nice sort of bloke. Strangely I was drinking with his daughter Hannah's ex husband yesterday afternoon when Dennis died, but I'm not sure if the news had broken then.

I used to love The Sweeney and Minder when they were first shown, I started watching them recently on Britbox but it was spoiling the memories so I stopped after the first few episodes.
