London appears to have run out of LPG

Closest one to me (in Harrow) last time I checked a couple of weeks ago, was the first Motorway Service Station on M1 Southbound by Brent Cross end! If I remember correctly, it's a Welcome Break. Good luck!

Most stations here have given up LPG as the electric cars will overtake fuel, only the odd farmer uses it these days, very few gas cars.

Scratchwood Services? Pretty sure that is permanently gone now as with all Shell stations.

Welcome Brake services have not taken out LPG even although they are Shell branded garages. The garages are owned by Welcome Brake not Shell and made the decision to keep lpg. This information was from the manager of my local Welcome Brake.

If that means LPG at Scratchwood that’s great. I thought the pump had been physically capped off. I will check again.

It's reckoned by the end of this decade that LPG will be much more difficult to find.
The government introduced much more stringent safety measures for the storage of LPG.
These changes have meant that garages that wish to maintain supplying LPG have to spend thousands to comply with these measures.
Many van converters now don't supply vans with LPG tanks, Widax being one of the few who do, but I have heard they are looking at changing things.
My friends friend converts vans for a living, and he has noted an increase of people looking to replace LPG tanks with propane cylinders.
But I can see why LPG is popular at 1/3rd the price of Calor.

A number of manufacturers are producing new models which have factory fitted LPG systems. If this catches on then they may reintroduce more LPG pumps.

Just remember, everyone says it’s easy to get lpg in Spain yet they only have around 400 places to fill where the U.K. has around 1400. Just a matter of foreward planning if moving around. Doesn’t help if you are in an area without though I know 👍

What sort of capacity do people get in they vans? I get 22 L in my PVC. Lasts 8 days in winter if no hook up.

I have 17kg capacity, can never remember the conversion but think that’s around 34litres, less 20% to allow for the 80% cut off valve. I do stand to be corrected though as I say I forget conversion. That is approx 3 months supply for me
