Loch Lomond campsites

Can anyone recommend a campsite on the shores of loch Lomond that we could stay in our motorhome and also be able to launch our jetski, we want to explore the Loch to see if it would be good to move the boat there from Lake Windermere for a change.

I'm not familiar with Loch Lomond, although I kept a boat in Largs marina for several enjoyable years, so we explored the Clyde area and up the west coast of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Thanks

I think you need to register your jet ski before you can use it on the loch as they limit the numbers using it.

Thanks I was aware of that, as it's the same on Windermere.

I haven't stayed there, but I believe Luss Campsite is well suited for watersports.

Well I have stayed there actually, but that was in a boat and the campsite wasn't there then!

Does it have to be fresh water for jetski?

No, we also have used the jetski in the sea, but we just want to explore Loch Lomond to see if it's a place to put the boat for a season. Plus with it been fresh water it is easier if you get it in your eyes compared to salt water, as I want to.learn my grandchildren to water ski.

Lomand woods caravan site not exactly on loch But probably the nearest the public slipway is very near with loads of parking even enough for motorhomes Think there’s a slip at the cameron house marina too. I know there’s a couple of sites on the north side of loch that have slipways near balmaha never used them. The public slip at balloch near the lomand wood Site is where you have to register very easy and think it’s not too expensive.

Sounds expensive. I was gonna move into consultancy will I have to dig out the couch.

The CCC have Millorochy Bay campsite which has a slipway onto the loch. Also Camping in the forest Cashel site is just along the same road on the East side if the loch. Luss site was a CCC site, which has been taken back into the local estate management; so don't know if it will be open this year. Luss is in the West (busy) side of the loch. Meg
