Just chilling out here watching the sun go down shortly.....
The only sound is the occasional Gull, the water is so still and the fire will be lit about 21:30hrs.
So sorry it is only for a couple of days but then again....you can't have everything....well....maybe you can.

One other MH here but hasn't left his vehicle yet to say hello.....I've been in and out of mine and passing by close to him and conversing with other day visitors in cars.
Right, I'm away to take some piccies.
Cheersthenoo!!!

You are in one of my favourite places, I used to do a bit of rockclimbing on Spartan Slabs not too far from where you are! How are the Midges?

up there next week from the 5th for a weeks boat fishing, but staying in a mobile box.

needs must i suppose as theres 3 of us and a dog.

i have loaded up with smidge reppellent so i have no worries.

theres a few wild camping spots on the other side of etive a couple before you get to the priory.
and one just out side the quarry, follow the road to the houses and theres a slope that goes up to a wide open space.

only down fall is the quarry starts about 7am.

a few of of us use to fish past the quarry but the roads only sutible for a steam roller, with care,
its not that the roads full of pot hole more volcanoes :)

Still here!
Weather too good to move on.
Just collected a big bag of Mussels to have for my lunch.
Magic here, no midges yet!
Watching the cormorants and even a heron doing its fishing technique.
With my ipad, laptop,MH, a wee dram and a wee beer how on earth can this be called wildcamping.
LOLOL!

I know that they have lifted all the roped mussels but I believe that it is because the virus that has cropped up is actually harming the mussels by making their shells very thin and a guy in the fish farm here told me that it is going to be a 2 year trial.
Don't know if this means 2 years mussel free or whatever.

That article says it's a foreign species, no mention of a virus.
And edible.

Just spoken to a "knowledgeable" local, he said that the reason that they lifted the Mussels is because of cross-breeding with another type of Mussel.
So they are investigating to see if any future harm will come to the indigenous Mussels.
Still safe enough to eat!

Well, I've still got mine runnach..... and the mussels were delicious... just too many!!!

basildog, stick a pair of wellies on and at low water just walk along left hand side of jetty and pick them off the wall.
They are of a good size 3 or 4 inches easy.
Mind you by the time you get here I might have taken them all....LOL
