Been without motorhome 2013 to June 2021 so only rejoined Wildcamping this year and have to say I love the new app. I’m disappointed how few of use verify and review locations though. It’s a community driven resource and I would encourage everyone to check in at locations by verifying and adding info by way of review, it certainly made my “shopping” experience much easier when there’s review info for a location!

Yes it does.
Phil gave us the choice of what we have now, or a system that would be downloaded in full, thus not requiring the internet to view. But there would have been limitations with such a system. We would have lost street view which I personally value. But hopefully with improvements in technology one day it may prove possible to have a downloaded system. I am sure Phil will be monitoring the situation.

Would it not be possible to have both and use them as needed? the live could even update the others data.

I rarely use a satnag these days, Google maps does it for me, I do download to Maps.me though sometimes to go along with my private POIs before we get orft.

Once you open google all the privat information on your ph is nicked and sent back to google, MI5 know less about you.
Maps me lad.

It’s a cracking we spot. Fantastic views.
And if you walk the track leaving from the carpark you get stunning views of the start of loch Carron.
