Just had 4 nights away, 1 night not far from Llandudno, 1 night in Delemere forrest and 2 nights with fellow tuggers at The Hollies site near Tarporley.

Now, can you take a risk on Llandudno sea front and into the next town. Couldnt believe the signs every few yards for miles!

No sleeping/camping from midnight til 8 in the morning. There was no other campers along there - it was a nightmare. Parked at Rhos on sea in the end high up on a hill overlooking the bay on a nearly finished appartments carpark - was left aloan til 10am next morning.

Anybody else done llandudno recently?

I wonder what harm is done to the good folks of Llandudno sleeping/ parking from midnight to 8am, most would be obliviose to anyone ever being there over night.

We went a few months ago, the width of the parking area on the front made it impossible to park without sticking out so we left. Also the cheeks b's have you put your reg in the parking ticket so you cant pass on any (paid for)unused time to anyone else.

Its a nightmare, isn't it.
See this post http://www.wildcamping.co.uk/forums/general-chat/4201-poole-quay-ban-motorhomes-parking-roads.html#post40021 with email to my MP about it.
Personally, I think if a motorhome is registered as car then these signs have no basis in law. I wouldn't condone parking overnight opposite someone's house but Llandudno has a mile or so of prom with only a field on the otherside of the road.
If you are in the area again you can stay overnight right on the sea front at Llandulas about 5 miles away (GR SH907786).
