Will these be a good replacement for the flush fit halogen bulbs that are currently fitted in our Adria? Is 3 watt sufficiently bright or is a higher wattage a better option?

Thanks!

In a van Ral I would think 3W would be sufficient. So long as you go for cold tone rather than warm. A rule of thumb with led lighting is normally led uses 1/12 the power of incandescent. So to achieve the same as a 60w bulb a 5w led would normally be required. Normally the manufacturers give a comparative light output against an incandescent bulb. I would have thought 3W led would be the same as a 40w bulb.

I replaced 10 watt halogen with 3 watt LED which were quite good (Aldi). However different makes have different levels of brightness so you might want to check what the Lumen output is when you are comparing.

We have 2.15w LEDs in our Burstner 5.99m M/home, a pair on each side of the lounge and a quartet in the lounge ceiling (underside of the drop down bed). There's a further pair of reading lights in the bed ceiling, and another pair above the kitchen work surface. Light levels are better than adequate, but if we drop anything in the lounge area, we need the four ceiling lights brightness for the search

Don't worry, Trev. If my cunning plotting and planning for dragging his nibs off to pastures new in our old camper start taking shape, Trev's Bargain Store may be getting a visit from some Furriners with weird North East accents in the not too distant... ;)😵‍💫👍

Trev, now may be a good time to start thinking of an escape plan, failing that, consider having your ears filled with expanding foam.
