lighting on electric

hi all ,newbie question have plugged vans electric in at home and the sockets work but lighting doesant question what position does the switch need to be in on control panel ,van batt ,off,or leisure battery when in middle position doesant work when i switch to leisure batt works and van battery works .am i right in thinking should be on leisure as elec is recharging the battery sorry prob confused i no i am cheers john and shakey jakey

Hi John

You need to select leisure battery as the power source when you have a mains hook up.

The van's charger will charge the leisure battery and compensate for any power being drawn off by the various 12v powered devices - lights, water pump etc.
