Well it out in the open now. it's official
The Nursery School where I work is closing its doors on the 31st August 2010

But our new building is attached to a primary School so it will become a nursery class

So what does that mean to me

I will have no employment after the 31 August I might have my arm twisted up my back and forced :eek: into early retirement

Meeting with Human Resources 22 Oct so I should know more then.

If they don't twist my arm enough I might have to re apply for my job

Oh dear life can be ****

Oh also received a letter today re pay and conditions where I (one of many) will end up about £190 per month worse off this was to come in in April but as been protected till 31 Aug 2010 :confused:

Life is looking ok :confused::confused:

early retirement sounds great - I hope you get what you want!

Me, Im only 34 and will be working forever as a self employed roofer!

all the best

Craig

its also happening here in ireland. people are expected to work harder because of less staff for less money they had 2 years ago.

Poll , If that Bullingdon Club lot get in at the next election, us public sector workers will be bailing out the bankers for the next five years.... as we have for the last five years...... and the five years before that.
They only squeeze the pips in the fruits from the Orchards they own,,,,, and thats US:mad:

public sector workers in ireland are being stopped more than the private workers out of their wages because of extra levys.

Polly believe me, it is never too early for retirement.
Take it and go for it. :)
Don't fear to fall in a black hole. Enjoy your motorhome (and the grandson); hit the road
One day you'll wonder 'How did I ever find the time to go to work ? '
All the best to you,
Leo

Go on girl do it,sod houses sod possesions you only need a motorhome to full time in and a special someone to share life with.Get out of the rat race and live life.Sell your house to help your fundings and work to live.Im 38 and i intend doing that in 5 years time.Gordon Brown and his thieving kind can shove it.If you reach 100 years old you will remember the best times in your life as being the ones that were adventure.

Does this mean that your getting your retirement next summer of protected salary????? If so, is this cause for celebration sometime?

It seems to me , If you are employed today, Everyone seems to be working harder for a lot less than a few years back.

I hope Polly things work out for you.

FWIW, and if I can share something, due to personal circumstances I found myself living full time in a motorhome for the last 15 months in effect.

I have met some interesting people, had experiences you could never book in a travel agents.

If I dropped dead last night ( That cant happen) then I feel know I have had some kind of life, I dont have a lot but choose to live my lifestyle willingly.

Try not to worry too much, and all the very best for the future.
