I cannot from the "help" work out what fee I need to pay for sending in my old licence and getting a heavy vehicle one in exchange for our 4850kg mh?? Oh and a photo too.

Are you renewing at 70? If you are you probably have c1 on your licence already (grandads rights) To keep these you will need a medical and eyesight test.
If you don't have c1 you need to take a c1 test. As for cost, sorry I can't remember, not even sure if its a renewal if you have pay at all.

There is a fee for a new photo so I've sent off £17. Paid £130 for the GP and £15 at boots opticians... good grief.

No Fee, Only need a photo if you haven't all ready got a resent one on your licence or passport.
