I walked the along the seafront in Portsmouth this morning and saw several vans parked up overnight. Fine, they weren't causing any problems and it would be hard to know someone was in them. One, however was parked in Old Portsmouth next to the Square Tower and several homes with his levelling ramps out to offset the road camber, I do think that is taking the rise. (no pun intended)

I would do it as well to level up in order prevent damage to and help the fridge/ freezer work properly.

If the camber is too much to live with, I have parked just up on the kerb. As long as it's a big pavement of course...

Ramps is a bit too 'camped' for me on a road.

I'd let down the appropriate tyres.
On second thoughts that might be a step (down) too far.

One of my neighbours parks his works van a cross from me, no levellers.
I don’t bother, no one does.
My Motorhome is parked in my drive, no one bothers that I am aware of.
Sorry but if the home is parked legally then what’s your point.
I agree it’s better to park away from homes.
But ask yourself the question, if this had been a works van, or a people carrier, would you have batted an eyelid.

What are levelling ramps ?

Sometimes I'm sure they're things that old motorhoming people drive on to, attempting to
burn their clutches out.
Static version of what teenagers do on a Saturday night, usually in a m/homers wildcamp.

See you look on that as a good thing where as I just see it as more **** to go wrong one day and genuinely will be thinking when is it going to happen :lol-049:

You mean such as when salt water spray does it's corrosive best, that sort of thing?
Advisable not to level up by the seaside then, as well as opposite houses.:)

Large Auto Trail van parked up by the funfair at Southport this morning parked on level ramps, rear steady’s down and generator running.
The generator was in an outside offside locker with the door down.
John.

I’ve done it why have them and not use them great piece of kit that’s why I got them fitted to use when I need them as long as I’m stationary and parked legally what difference dose it make. Probably people in the houses wouldn’t even notice them down but another motorhomer that doesn’t have them might.
