Advice please from experienced motorhomers:

Our first van is a 3.5t panel van conversion. We need to get some sort of levelling chocks I believe, but having looked at what is on offer, we have no idea where to start. I thought this would be simple but they seem to come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and prices. Not wanting to spend more than necessary, is there any simple advice to guide us in our choice please?

Get the Fiamma lighter duty ones. They are about £10. The heavy duty ones are good but they take up a lot more space and 95% of the time you wont need them unless you like camping on super steep sites! Ultimately I suppose it depends where you camp and how often, but generally the £10 ones will work OK.

I store mine under the passengers seat in the seat box but may well have a look at *****'s tip. One thing you need with them is decent bag unless you want to get mud in the van. I've got the official fiamma red one, but any strong waterproof bag will do.

The basic versions are about £11.75 now (not £10), with the "magnum", and level up systems going from £17 to £27+ It is a confusing section but for smaller 3.5 tonne van the £11.75 ones will work most of the time.

All the Fiamma levelling solutions are available on my website, if you need any advice, just give us a call

Happy travels
