Hi , we are parked up in Peniscola going into our 2nd day of torrential rain thunder and lightning . Anybody near by ? Think we are safe here , surrounding fields drain away during the few dry spells . Just got me thinking if any good flood stories out there ? Enjoyed your post on French flood Channa !

hit about 2 foot of water driving a lorry through Avingnon once . had no choice but to go for it . felt a bit sorry for all the people sat in their cars on each side of the road with their doors open waiting for recovery, their little faces as our massive bow wave hit them will forever be imprinted on my memory. we got through ok but didn't hang about

We are further down the Coast at Kiko Park near Oliva. What a storm last night. Woke me up about 3am what a racket. No power this morning but the German guy next to us showed me where the fuse box was. Earth Leakage Trip so reset it and it went again. Turned out the guy opposit had a blue electric connector full of water.

English guy opposite was moaning about being woken up at 5am with the caravan power alarm fault. He said he had to wait till 8am till the Office opened to get someone to fix the power. SWMBO says I should have told him to buy a MH as you don’t get alarms in the night because the powers gone off.

Remember in Benidorm some 40 years ago there was a torrent coming down one of the small roads into the village. Too deep to cross and a lot of people standing on the pavement. An old car stopped and opened his back doors and we all walked through. Catching the bus on the way back the driver opened the doors and the water poured out.

According to the Internet weather we have two more days of heavy rain.

SWMBO says I should have told him to buy a MH as you don’t get alarms in the night because the powers gone off.

We have a power cut alarm as standard in the MoHo.

1) I thread the EHU cable through outside things like the bike. That way if someone unplugs me to "borrow" the bike I get to know about it.

2) If there is a power cut I get to know before I drink a warm beer.

The above list is NOT in priority order.

Amazingly we all got out when the field flooded at Brin in 2014.

Thunder and lightning show out at sea last night, very impressive. Tipping it down this morning in Bolnuevo although I can see a tiny patch of blue sky.
